Deer seem to be more common now that at any time in my lifetime. As a kid, I spent a lot of time in the woods around my home town and never saw a wild deer. I had to go to Maine when I was 15 to see my first one in the wild. Now I find them in the cemetery 1/4 from where I grew up.
