The Charles W. Morgan is the last of the great whaling square riggers. Built in 1841, she survived 37 voyages of up to 3 years, in search of whales. A static display at Mystic Seaport for most of here years since her last voyage in 1921, she was hauled out and her hull was rebuilt. She was made seaworthy and, on June 17, she put to sea again under sail for the first time in over 90 years. This summer, the Charles W. Morgan embarks on a celebratory 38th voyage under sail.
